At the end, there will be 10 minutes available for audience Q&amp;A and discussion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cOutside the Box\u201d and Special Seminars:<\/strong><br \/>One speaker will cover a topic relevant to but perhaps outside of traditional gastroenterology topics. 30 minutes for lecture, 10 minutes for Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHow I do it\u201d Seminar:<\/strong><br \/>One speaker will cover a topic in gastroenterology from their expert personal perspective, supplemented by literature review, and presented in case format for 20 minutes with 10 minutes for Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hot Topic:<\/strong><br \/>One speaker will cover a topic of particular new relevance to gastroenterologists, presenting the latest evidence, recommendations, etc. 20-30 minutes for lecture, 10 minutes for Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guidelines:<\/strong><br \/>Review of society guidelines on key topic by leading expert. 30 minute talk with 10 minutes for audience Q+A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask the Consultant:<\/strong><br \/>A gastroenterologist will be able to present short, common cases to a non-GI specialist for their practical advice. This year, we will quiz a rheumatologist on disease and drug related arthralgias and rheumatic events in IBD.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Hot Seat:<\/strong><br \/>One faculty member presents cases to a panel of faculty and to the audience to stimulate discussion on approaches to challenging cases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advances:<\/strong><br \/>Talks will address both technologic and therapeutic advances in topic areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Improving Quality of Care:<\/strong><br \/>\u201cQuality\u201d is a buzzword in medicine today. This series addresses specific topics where providers can troubleshoot and improve their patient care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panel Discussions:<\/strong><br \/>All faculty and the audience members participate and give their assessment of and opinions on key topics in our field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Afternoon Workshops:<\/strong><br \/>These 110 minute sessions will cover practical issues relevant to the clinic.
